Stand-Up Pouches

Flexible packaging wins on two numbers: material cost and shipping weight. A pouch uses a fraction of the material of a box, weighs almost nothing, and takes up almost no space until it is filled. For coffee, powders, snacks and supplements, it is usually the correct commercial answer.
Stand-up pouches use a gusseted base so the pack holds itself upright on shelf. Add a resealable zipper for anything the customer will not finish in one go, a degassing valve for freshly roasted coffee, and a matte film if you want the pack to read premium rather than industrial.
Barrier matters more than looks. Moisture and oxygen ingress set shelf life, so the film structure is chosen against the product: a foil-lined laminate for coffee and powders, a clear or windowed film where the customer needs to see the contents.

Are custom pouches recyclable?
Standard pouches use a multi-layer laminate that is not kerbside recyclable. Recyclable mono-material films are available and we can quote them alongside the standard build. They cost more per unit and have a slightly shorter barrier life, so the trade-off depends on your product and shelf life.
What is the minimum order for custom stand-up pouches?
100 units. The minimum is higher than our box formats because flexible film printing requires a longer press setup.
Do I need a degassing valve for coffee?
For freshly roasted beans, yes. They release CO2 for days after roasting, which will swell or burst a sealed bag. A one-way valve vents the gas while keeping oxygen out.
